Horus was an ancient God of Egypt and naturally depicted as a falcon. The eye of Horus can be turned to the disappeared and to the expert. The disappeared eye represents the moon and the God Djehuti (Thoth) and the expert eye is the Eye of Ra and is interrelated with the sun.

The symbol is tattered to protect from evil spirits and for protection.

The name Wadjet derives from the word wadj that manner green, the green one and was accustomed by the Greeks and Romans as "the risen one"

The wedjat was "the medium element" of seven jewels found on the mommy Shoshenq II and was hypothetical to protect the king in the afterlife.
