The Origin of WorshipBefore the devil was Satan, he was Lucifer, an archangel in charge of the worship to God. The Bible gives great details of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28:12-16. He was designed to worship God and became corrupted because he did what he was not designed to do. As a result, God changed his name to Satan, as a reflection of the character change in him. Lucifer was created with sound inside of him. Scientists has discovered and proven that light is created by sound. As he worshiped, he would light up. When you worship God, you need to know that in the spiritual world you are radiating! Worship in Hebrew is described as "intimacy." When you worship, you are having an intimate experience with church, that is why it can't be something that is just quick. You cannot do it as part of the announcements. It is designed to love, enjoy, worship God. You were created to worship. Psalm 148 speaks of 21 things that worship and praise godeverything that has breath praises the Lord! When the wind blows over a cornfield, it has been proven that the sound in the wind is "Halleluyah"the cornfields are worshipping God and yet in the church, pastors and leaders are the worst praisers and worshippers because they feel they are too important. That is why the Spirit of God is grieved. Most of the songs in the King Jesus Ministry were composed by the Apostle. Nowadays, the church has changed true worship and praise for entertainment, we have traded anointing for talent. It has become too commercial. Church is not for entertainment; it is to worship God and all songs should be directed to Him, not to your need. "And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took each of them his censer and put fire therein, and put incense thereon and offered strange fire before the LORD, which He commanded them not. And there went out fire from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD." - LEVITICUS 10:1-2 CHARACTERISTICS OF "STRANGE FIRE" WORSHIP * The leader of the house did not send it; unauthorized * It is divorced from a life of obedience * It is worship without power. "And each of the four living beings had six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within; and they rested not day and night, saying,"Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come!"-REVELATION 4:8 Worship determines the level of revelation of the church. God will never visit us beyond the level of revelation we have of Him. The worship ministry is the hardest because it is what the devil focuses on. When the presence of God falls, that is when the King entered. Christ enters. If we lose the objective that worship is to bring His presence, it is better to just not praise and worship. God is holy! Lift your hands and worship Him!
