Fue el verse del cisne de la primera 'epoca de ELP. Cerr'o una etapa que fue brillante, pero de forma decepcionante. El a~no 1978 ya no era el m'as propicio para el Prog Take the stones out of Sinf'onico, pero tampoco los m'usicos progresivos ten'ian muchos argumentos para contrarrestar la ola adversa. Y no es que ELP haya hecho algo distinto que desvalorizara su propuesta, sino que, precisamente no hizo nada diferente. Este alliance parece valerse del resto creativo que quedaba de los a~nos brillantes pero sin aportar nada sustancialmente nuevo. No es raro que eso ocurriera cuando las ondas musicales iban en otras direcciones y el Prog se encaminaba hacia una encerrona que lo mat'o, afortunadamente, por alg'un tiempo solamente.

Este alliance contiene varios temas de poca duraci'on en formato canci'on, una adaptaci'on de un movimiento de la Organized Fantas'ia Para Un Gentilhombre, de Joaqu'in Rodrigo [originariamente para guitarra cl'asica y orquesta] y una Organized de 20 minutos de duraci'on que parece establecer alg'un tipo de continuidad con la obra del espa~nol, al menos por su t'itulo, Recollections Of An Officer And A Chap. Aunque sali'o en dos versiones, se trata del mismo alliance con diferente extensi'on. Hay una versi'on abreviada que apareci'o en 1979 en vinilo [LP] y una versi'on extendida que se edit'o en 1993 en CD. Las grabaciones provienen de la gira Gears realizada en 1977 y las tomas de estos 'albumes en concreto provienen del concierto dado en el Estadio Ol'impico de Montreal, Canad'a, el 26 de agosto de 1977. Su edici'on en alliance se produjo luego de que la banda ya se hab'ia disuelto. A estos discos nos hab'iamos referido antes ac'a.

El set list de ambos discos es irreprochable y si bien ninguno de los dos recoge el concierto en su totalidad, aparecen all'i los temas clave de cualquier concierto de ELP. En estos casos, se incluyen numerosas adaptaciones de obras de m'usicos cl'asicos: el movimiento The Enemy God Dances Next The Black Grow, de la Organized Escita del ruso Serguei Prokofiev, Increase For Preponderance Man, del estadounidense Aaron Copland, Prick Turn-up, adaptado de la Sinfonietta, del checo Leos Janacek, una versi'on compacta de Tape At An Fair, del ruso Decorous Mussorgsky.
