Spiritual Power Of Niyyah Intention And Healing

Spiritual Power Of Niyyah Intention And Healing
Spiritual Power of Niyyah-Intention; Understanding the Psychological Impact

in Dua and Energy Healing Power of Niyyah by Muhammad Sajad Ali

POWER OF NIYYAH-INTENTION

Know that niyyah-intention is energy and has a Direction-qiblah and movement and flow. And niyyah-intention has a vibration or resonance or echoing and it maintains its momentum by the level or degree sinceretiy-Sidq pushed into the intention from our souls and heart and when the words of a niyyah are said they travel and start to transform into action.

We make intentions when we pray or anything we do, but we forget that intention is an action or deed of its own and that all actions are judged by our niyyah- intentions and the degree of effect we put into that niyyah is what counts. We have thoughts floating in our minds all the time and "Thoughts are energy" (unfocused energy) we have 70,000 thoughts-Khayal a day all which is creating energy and energy has a "physical substance" and only when we stop and focus into a floating thought do we create intentions-(focused energy) and through our intentions we create our actions.

So we can see that our intentions are focused energy which is power with direction. We can act on them or not they are either good or bad. Anotherway to look at them is postive or negitive energies which affect our soul and hearts. Remember intentions are also counted as deeds/actions thus they must have a form or physical substance other wise how can they be called deeds/action.

Many people just don't consciously consider their Niyyah-intention. When thoughts are focused upon they become Intentions which can then begin actions. The vibrations we send out when making intentions travels through the body and soul and it comes from our hearts. The more sincere--Sidq our intention the bigger the impact of energy that is released and it can travel through time and space and i have not even mention the action yet.

I would like to explain this in way of Hadith and Quran inshallah or try to shed some light.

Angels keep record of your intention.

It has been related that the angels also record a person's intentions. This is why a person is rewarded for having a good intention and sometimes bad intentions.

'When My slave intends to do an evil action, do not record it. If he does it, then write it down as one say'ah (evil deed). If he intends to do a good deed and does not do it, then write down as one hasanah (good deed), and if he does it, then write it down as ten.' -Hadith

'The angels says, 'O Lord, Your slave wants to do something bad,' although He (Allah) Knows best about him. So, Allah says, 'Watch him. If he does it then write it down as it is. If he does not do it, then write it down as one hasanah for him, for he is abstaining from it because of Me.' -hadith

THE ENERGY OF INTENTION

Now thoughts are intangible-(not having physical presence) and they come and go through our mind or conscious and Hearts, often without awareness or focus, until the brain when focused upon some thoughts and then deep in the Heart an intention then takes on form or a physical substance or a deed as a "good niyyah recorded as one hasanah (good deed) which means it must take a form which is energy as all formor physical substance has energy. So making a good niyyah-Intention is a good deed itself by which one earns reward. This is due to energy of proper intention meaning there is Sincerity-Sidq is present while forumalating the Niyyah-Intention The Heart is the place were ones Sirr-secret resides.

Intentions are an overflowing from the heart. At times it is made easy, at other times, difficult. A person whose heart is overwhelmingly righteous finds it easy to summon good intentions at most times. Such a person has a heart generally inclined to the roots of goodness which, most of the time, blossom into the manifestation of good actions. As for those whose hearts incline towards and are overwhelmed by worldy matters, they find this difficult to accomplish and even obligatory acts of worship may become difficult and tiresome.

POWER OF JUST MAKING NIYYAH-INTENTION AND THE ENERGY IT CARRIES.

Allah's Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) also said:

"There are 4 types of people: one is a man whom Allah has given knowledge and wealth. He acts with respect to his wealth based on his knowledge. Another person says that if Allah had given him similar to what He gave the first man, he would have acted in the same fashion. The reward for both of them will be the same. A third person is one, whom Allah gives wealth but He does not give knowledge.

Therefore, he spends money according to his desire. Another man says that if Allah had given him, what He had given that person, he would have acted in the same manner. These two will have the same burden upon them." [Ibn Majah]

At the Battle of Tabook, Allah's Messenger sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said: "There are people concerning whom you do not travel any distance, nor do you spend anything, nor do you pass any valley but they are with you in that matter." The people said, "How is that?" He sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said, "They have been restrained due to some excuse, but they are with us because of the good intention."

Meaning with a sincere-Sidq intention they wished they were also at the battle but couldn't come but are given its reward. No action happen only the Power of making proper sincere Niyyah-Intention which which then turns or mansifests into a action of reward which shows that Niyyah-Intention can be turned into a phyical form that angels count see.

"People will be gathered upon their intentions." [Ibn Majah, Sahih al-Jami' no. 7898]

"Mankind will be resurrected upon their intentions." [Muslim]

"Verily those slain on the battlefield will be resurrected upon their intentions." [Ibn Abi ad-Dunya]

And Yahya ibn Abu Kathir said, "Learn your intention for it is more serious than the action."

Zayd ash-Shami said, "Verily I like that I have an intention for everything even if it be eating and drinking."

And he also said, "Have intention for everything, desiring the good, even if it be leaving for the toilet."

Sufyan ath-Thawri said, "I have not treated anything more difficult then my intention, because it keeps changing."

Yusuf ibn Asbat said, "Purifying the intention from its corruption is harder upon the workers than long striving (i.e. in their work)."

Ibn al-Mubarak said, "Maybe a small action is made great by its intention, and maybe a great action is made small by its intention."

Ibn 'Ijlan said, "The action is not acceptable except by three: taqwa of Allah, and good intention, and correctness (i.e. conformity to the Sunnah)."

Fudayl ibn Iyadh said, "Allah wishes from you only your intentions and desires (iradah)."

ACTIONS ARE BY INTENTIONS

Umar ibn al-Khattab: "Verily actions are by intentions, and for every person is what he intended. So the one whose hijrah was to Allah and His Messenger, then his hijrah was to Allah and His Messenger. And the one whose hijrah was for the world to gain from it, or a woman to marry her, then his hijrah was to what he made hijrah for." - Hadith.

The hadith of Umar, 'Verily actions are by intention;

Imam Shafi'i said, "This hadith constitutes a third of all knowledge."

Imam Ahmad said, "The foundations of Islam are upon three ahadith and that one of them is The hadith of 'Umar, 'Verily actions are by intention.

Abu Dawud said, "I looked into the hadith of the Musnad (i.e. of Ahmad) and it consisted of 40,000 ahadith. Then I looked again and (found that) the 40,000 ahadith revolved around 4 ahadith: and that one of them is The hadith of 'Umar, 'Verily actions are by intention.

and Abu Dawud said; Fiqh revolves around 5 ahadith: and that one of them is The hadith of 'Umar, 'Verily actions are by intention.

So Intentions are "one third of all knowledge" and the "foundations of Islam" and 40,000 ahadith revolved around Verily actions are by intention of Imam Ahmad's Musnad and its 1 of 5 hadiths that does Fiqh also revolves around too.

ALL ACTIONS ARE IN NEED OF INTENTION

And his saying after this, '... and for everyone is what he intended' is informing that he will not gain anything from his action except what he intended. So if he intended good, he gets good. And if he intended evil then he gets evil. And this second statement (of the hadith) is not merely reiterating the first, for the first statement points to the fact that the goodness or corruptness of the action is according to the intention necessary for that action to exist. The second statement points to the fact that the reward of the actor for his action is in accordance to his good intention, and that the punishment for his action is in accordance to his evil intention.

And if the intention is permissible (mubah), then the action is permissible (mubah), and there is not for it any reward or punishment. Therefore the action in itself is good, or bad, or permissible according to the intention behind it necessary for that action to exist. And the reward of the person or his punishment is according to the intention upon which the action became righteous, or bad or permissible.

So the power of Niyyah-intention builds or manifests into a form that is positive or negative and its vibrations travel through your body and soul and thus affect you and is the main key to enter one into Jannat or Jahanam. As we will be judged on our Niyyah-intentions not our actions thus, why is it a prostitution can be saved from hell or a Murder of 100 poeple is saved from hell and why is a good person with good deeds enters the Fire but, his actions looked right. Right..? mmm but his heart wasn't right as his Niyyah-intentions were wrong. thus the Power of Niyyah-intentions are such they can enter one into Heaven or they can open the doors of Hell.

THE MAIN TWO GOLDEN WISDOMS OF SUFISM ONE MUST LEARN IS :-

Niyyah- Intention- we will be judged by our Intentions NOT actions! As actions are by Intentions Adaab - Good Manners - The heaviest Deeds on the scales will be our Manners.

Who ever understands these two points will be able to travel on the path very quickly to and be able to unlock his Sir-secret.

PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT IN IBADAH AND MAKING DUA

Psychologically many muslims understanding of islam is that of a formulaic knowledge like a book all dry there is no real deepth, which is Love of Allah and Love is not in a book but is given from Heart to Heart from a master to a student, outwarldly anyone can show islam. But Allah isn't interested in our Amal-Actions he is interested in our Niyyah-intentions, thus on the say of Judgement will be judged by our Intentions and NOT our actions and the heaviest deed on the scales will be our manners-adaab and having Adaab is about being sincere-Sidq and degree-(commensurate or amount) of sincerity-Sidq is found in Love, your love of Allah or yearning of Allah which comes from the deepth of ones heart.

So Its all about the Qalb-Heart Allah says Qalbun-saleem a "Whole or pure Heart", this is what the Sufis are busy with and the way, once you clean the heart of off its dirt through Dhikrullah- rememberance of Allah and other means such as sufic poems being sung/Hadra, Subha-comapanion and serving-Khidma these are cleansing tools to help us achieve our goal to get to an opening-fath and thus from Allah and to Allah.

IN REFERENCE TO THE HIZBUL BAHR OR MAKING ANY DUA

Shaykh Ahmed Zarruq says; "As for the bringing about effects with this invocation- (Hizbul Bahr), it is commensurate with one's aim and aspiration that one has command of it to draw or repel, intending what is desired when one says 'And subject to us the this sea- "sakh-khartal bahra"

So the Impact of any dua is all about the commensurate one puts into making dua, or saying certain words of a dua with deep love and yearning. commensurate means; corresponding in size or degree or in proportion to someting. also "equal to," or the amount of effort put into someting and comes from a Latin root that means "measure," when the reward matches the effort, the reward is commensurate with the effort. That is, the more is your effort, the greater is the reward.

So It is degree or the amount of effort put into when making a dua, so think about that deeply, if you want a answered dua or the effectiveness or any dua. Then the amount or degree put into making one's Niyyah-intention must have a strong direction and Himmah-yearning and this the amount Sidq-sincerity or earnest put into it that dua. Earnest, or seriousness, fixed determination, importance, eagerness; intentness.

So one needs to read it with Earnestness to receive its secrets and this is true with any Dua or Wird or Award, it's not just the words on the tongue its whose Heart is saying there words and what is the degree of Need of Help-Madaat or Nasr-Victory from Allah they are hoping for and is it being done with Sidq-sincerity and one needs to put or pay attention-tawajjuh in their heart and turn their heart towards Allah through the grace of their Shaykh to connect them with the beloved to seal the dua inshallah.

ENERGY HEALING POWER OF NIYYAH

Blessed sound or dua is a highly effective tool for healing the soul mind and body there is another factor that can greatly amplify the effectiveness of healing that is creative positive intention the importance of intention has now been mentioned that it has vibrational energy.

When healing ones Intention consists of using focused postive thoughts, feelings and visualizations to heal, It seems possible that the energy of intention is carried on the frequencies of sound it as it maintains its momentum by the level or degree sinceretiy-Sidq pushed into the intention from our souls and heart and when the words of a niyyah are said they travel and start to transform into action of healing and Allah is Shifa we are just means asking for his madaat-Support to cure someone through focusing with positive intention that someone is given a cure.

You may think now is that possible. Were this is positive there must be negative were there is black there must be white and similarly with; Evil eye, "The effect of an evil eye is a fact." - hadith "The influence of an evil eyes is a fact; if anything would precede the destiny it would be the influence of an evil eye,.." -hadith.

Its said it can affect objects like houses or cars or anthing else be damaged or destroy and kill animals make humans ill and shorten their lives to sickness and death too. With what a look, no it was more then just a look it was with negative emotions and intentions such as envy, hatred, bitterness, anger etc the poison from their eyes penetrates into that person or object. This causes harm to their object of envy is simple evil energy no action just thoughts and intentions, thats the power of Niyyah. There must be good too so by using positive intentions which is postive energy itself it can be harness for healing people without touch just by pushing through postive intentions to their souls, there is more about this but i will stop here about it.
